INTEGRATED ANNUAL REVIEW 2024

The Minerals Council’s 2024 Integrated Annual Review outlines mining’s 6.1% contribution to GDP, R800.9bn in sales, and 474,876 jobs.

Fatalities declined by 24% to the lowest level on record, reflecting progress through the Khumbul’ekhaya Strategy, TMM regulations, and MOSH-led interventions. The Minerals Council drove policy reform in energy, logistics, and regulation, while promoting coherent climate, closure, and sustainability frameworks to secure the sector’s long-term viability.
